"I missed a change." A registrant you rely on files, language shifts in a risk factor or MD&A, and the next manual review is weeks away. A sentence-level diff shows exactly what was added, removed, and reworded, the day the filing lands.
"An amendment broke my baseline." Every comparison here is pinned to accession numbers. An amended filing (10-K/A) never replaces the version you reviewed without your knowledge, because the version you reviewed is named in the receipt. This is the failure most tools have no answer for.
"I can't prove I reviewed it." Every check writes a receipt: what was compared, when, against which versions, with what result. Your firm's audit log is yours to read at any time. When an examiner asks how filing review is evidenced, the evidence already exists.
